The value of our in-house design department
Our in-house design team is the creative heart of Garbar. It is here that many of the products in our collections are conceived and developed. From the selection of materials to ergonomics, every detail is studied to ensure that the final result complies with the Garbar philosophy: durability, functionality and an aesthetic that blends naturally into terraces, gardens and contract spaces.
Each project goes through a careful prototyping and testing process, ensuring that what begins as a sketch is transformed into a product capable of withstanding time, intensive use and outdoor conditions.
Collaborations that amplify our values
In addition to our in-house team, at Garbar we work with external designers who bring freshness and new perspectives to outdoor furniture design. A notable example is the PLAY chair, designed by the Carrasco Barceló studio.
Unveiled in 2020, this piece won the Bronze Delta Award for its innovation: a chair made from 100% recycled plastic, lightweight, stackable and specially designed for outdoor use. The aim of the project was clear: to create a sturdy, practical and, above all, lightweight seat capable of competing in the demanding garden and patio furniture sector.
In developing the Garbar product for PLAY, fluid communication between the designer, our marketing department and the technical office was essential. Careful attention was paid to thicknesses, nerves and reinforcements to achieve a chair that combines aesthetics, sustainability and functionality.
